The goal is to raise awareness of various forms of discrimination, dismantle prejudices, and develop concrete strategies for action. Participants will focus on practical approaches to solidarity, using discrimination-sensitive language, and fostering respectful communication. Best cases will be discussed, examined, and developed to ensure effective solutions across Europe and the world. A key objective is to counter the rise of right-wing narratives across Europe.

Within the framework of the project “Europe against racism” we invite trainers, educators, NGO-representatives and individuals committed to fostering an anti-racist environment to learn together and to scrutinise and challenge existing structures.

The following summarises the goals and gives an overview of the training content:

  • Develop awareness of discrimination: Participants will be sensitised to different forms of discrimination and racism and gain a deeper understanding of their impact on individuals and societies.
  • Understanding institutional and structural levels: Participants will understand how structural and institutional inequalities are created and maintained.
  • Positioning and privileges: Participants will engage with their own positioning in the context of discrimination and racism and will dismantle their internalised knowledge about it.
  • Strategies to promote solidarity: Participants will learn about and apply practical approaches to promote solidarity and support marginalised groups.
  • Discrimination-sensitive communication: Participants will learn skills to use discrimination-sensitive language to promote respectful and inclusive communication.
  • Development of options for action: Participants will be able to develop and implement concrete action strategies to combat discrimination in their own context.
  • Exchange best practices: Participants will discuss and adapt Europe-wide best practices for anti-racist projects to promote effective solutions at local and global levels.
  • Challenging right-wing narratives: Participants will learn how to expose and actively work against right-wing narratives in order to promote a more just society.
